Seniors
The time has come to apply to college! There are many College Options to choose from, so it's important to review their entrance requirements and make note of application deadlines.
- UC applications are available online beginning October 1st; the UC application filing dates are November 1st - November 30th.
- CSU applications are available online beginning October 1st; the CSU application filing dates are October 1st - November 30th.
- Private and out of state colleges and universities often use the Common Application. When in doubt, go to the college's website directly. These colleges will often require Secondary School Reports along with recommendation letters. Please note the deadline to submit your secondary school report to Mrs. Koch or your counselor is November 2nd for December 1st application dates and November 30th for application dates in January or February. Please plan ahead!
- For schools that require secondary school reports and letters of recommendation, review the SSR Instructions, fill out a Brag Sheet, and have teachers fill out a Student Information Sheet
Transcripts
Students who took classes at a community college or adult school must have their transcripts sent to the Counseling Office (A9). Community college transcripts must be requested at the college; they are not sent to Chatsworth High School automatically! LAUSD policy states that students may only receive high school credit for classes that are satisfying a graduation requirement or college entrance requirement. All other classes are taken for enrichment only and will not be added to the student's transcript.
