Community College
Community Colleges have a lot of options for students, such as 2 year (Associates) degree programs, certificate programs, as well as comprehensive programs which lead to licensure (Registered Nurse program). Students also have the option of transferring to a 4-year college or univerisity. Visit the LA Community College Website.
There are no entrance requirements (no SAT/ACT tests), however students will have to take math and English placement tests before taking these subjects at the college level.

Pierce College Extended Opportunity Program & Services (EOPS)
EOP&S is a state funded support program that is designed to assist qualified low-income and educationally disadvantaged students complete their college goals with the assistance of financial and support services.
The EOP&S program includes the following services:
- Academic and career counseling
- Free tutoring
- Transfer assistance
- University fee waivers
- Priority registration
Pierce College Representative Weekly Visits
A representative from Pierce College will be at CHS Wednesdays, 7:30-11:30 in the College Center. Isaac Caldera will be here to answer questions and discuss options and opportunities Pierce College has to offer; and heis available for our current seniors who plan to attend Pierce College in Fall 2009.
